After looking at the gunshow calendar for 2013, it looks like there is one every month.  For instance, Rocky Mountain is Jan 5/6.  Then Crossroads is Feb 5/6.  Whenever there is a Crossroads show, the Rocky Mountain is scheduled one month earlier.

In 2012, it seemed like Rocky Mountain scheduled theirs 2-3 weeks prior to Crossroads.

Is it worth going to the Rocky Mountain show?  From what I hear, it is half the size of Crossroads.

About half would be close. I am sure i will pass on this one.

Now that we've had this shooting in CT and with KSL shutting down their Firearms Ad section, I think the gun shows are going to see a bigger boost.

I will go to every show. I will be there on January 5 and 6. You going to have a table Steve. If so do you want some help. 

Work will keep me away from the next show, but If I can ever make contact with Doug over at Top Gun, I plan to buy at least two more AR's this week. At this time, he has not answered his phone.

I went to the Rocky Mountain gun show today.  It was crazy crowded and prices were a little higher than normal, unless it was an AR platform then the prices double and triple what they would have been a month ago.    There were long lines to get to any of the ammo tables, and everything was flying out the door. The same could be said about some of the gun dealers.   Long lines and everything was headed out the door.   I was telling my son that people in America are scared.  It would appear the many Americans are stockpiling with a healthy concern of the direction The United States is headed.

Next month will be the Crossroads of the West gun show.  It is a much larger show with more dealers.  Should be interesting to see if the panic has decreased,   this would depend on what the government tries do to the law abiding citizen.

I just returned from Texas, and the show in Ft. Worth last week was the same, and it is huge. All AR format was 2-3X prices, and .223 ammo was going for one buck a round. Lines to get ammo were one hour waits. In my 65 years, i have not seen such panic buying on firearms and ammunition. When this all blows over, there should be a heck of a surplus on the panic buys. Remember all of the generators etc. after Y2K!
