I was in the market for Springfield M1A,  I went to Salvo guns in Layton nothing but AR platforms.  I went to Impact and they had many M1A's with different levels of bells and whistles.  Least expensive was $ 1534.    KSL classifieds was my next stop.  I found a M1A standard with composite stock  for $1299.99  advertised  by sierra guns.  Sierraguns is located in Clinton and ran out of the house for right now.   You have to make an appointment but prices are great and the people are nice.  I found it a wonderful experience dealing with sierraguns.   They plan to open a store front with a gun range in the near future.  I plan on buying from them again.  I know they have received a lot of hate mail for their ads on KSL , but I found they pay a pretty good amount of money too be able run the ads.  I found these to be descent folks and good prices, plus the owner is in the military so support the war fighter.

Good to hear.  I've always wondered how much ksl charges to run ads as a business.  I think after this election tonight, sales are going to increase significantly.

I thought to have an FFL, you could not work it from your home. I was told you had to have a store front for the business. I carried an FFL in TX for many years, and the cost increase (free when I got mine), and having to have a storefront caused me to relinquish mine.

As for the KSL ads, I just automatically select "Individual" every time I browse the firearms section. This will remove Clinton, Provo Pawn, AF Pawn and several others starting to fill the sections with 20-30 ads per listing.
Pick up after yourself!

I know several people that have an FFL operated from their home.  I'm not sure of the details but they do conduct business from their home.

Yep, my FFL business (a gunsmithing operation) is operated out of my home/shop.  Inspected and approved by the ATF ;).

I took the M1A out for the first time yesterday.  Shot at Impact guns, 25 yards.   I am more then pleased with the function and accuracy of the rifle.  Out of the box it was dead on.  Can't wait until I get it out to the desert and shoot at a little greater distance.
